Welcome to the home of the Goodhue County Republican Party!
We're glad you stopped by. This is where you can find out just what our local grassroots organization stands for and does to help spread the conservative message of fiscal responsibility, more efficient government, individual responsibility, and volunteer opportunities so you to get involved. Remember, the Republican Party has a big tent, and you may have differences with some Republican positions. Ronald Reagan said it best when he declared that if you are an 80% friend on the issues, it doesn't make you a 20% enemy.
At the local level, we tend to focus on electing fiscally conservative Republicans. That is one area where Republicans are in almost total agreement.
You can contact your local elected leaders at the State and National level
here. We encourage you to contact them, especially the Democrats. Hold their feet to the fire. Let them know your opinion on the legislation they are voting on.
You can contact our BPOU (Basic Political Organizing Unit) leaders
here with any questions you may have.
2011 Patriot Day Celebration
September 11 is Patriot Day. Ten years ago, when four airliners were hijacked by Islamic terrorists, our country was reminded yet again, very powerfully, that we are at war. To mark that anniversary we came together for prayer and remembrance, for comment and consideration. The three people who represent Goodhue County in St. Paul, Representative Tim Kelly, Representative Steve Drazkowski and Senator John Howe, came together to encourage us and challenge us. Thank you to each who made the day a wonderful event.

The Goodhue County GOP has adopted a Highway. Check out State Highway 19 just west of Vasa between Red Wing and Cannon Falls at mile marker 200. We will need volunteers to clean up the 2 mile stretch twice a year, in the spring and the fall. Contact our Chair if you are interested in helping out at
chair@goodhuegop.com.
Are you looking for a way to get involved? The Republican Party is looking for election judges and poll watchers. If you are interested, contact us at

Election Judge page.
